Skild recognises that many coaching services involve children.

Accounts for children should be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for reporting, analytics, benchmarking and product development. This information does not identify individual Users.

11. BOOKINGS & CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Where a Customer books services with a Coach or Business through Skild:

  • booking information is shared with the relevant Coach or Business;
  • payment information necessary to complete the transaction is shared with the payment provider;
  • communications relating to bookings may be shared with the relevant parties.

Skild acts as the software platform facilitating these interactions.

Businesses remain responsible for how they use personal information obtained through the Platform.

12. COOKIES

Skild uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience.

Cookies help us:

  • keep you signed in;
  • remember preferences;
  • improve Platform performance;
  • understand website usage;
  • maintain security;
  • personalise content.

Some cookies are essential for operation of the Platform.

Others assist with analytics and service improvements.

Operational communications necessary to provide Platform services may continue even if marketing communications are unsubscribed from.

As the Platform evolves, Skild may introduce AI-powered functionality.

Where AI features are available:

  • User information may be processed to generate requested outputs;
  • AI-generated content is intended to assist Users and should be independently reviewed before reliance;
  • Skild may use de-identified interaction data to improve AI-powered functionality, subject to applicable law.

We will not use your personal information to train AI models beyond what is permitted by law and our contractual arrangements with our service providers.

16. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some of Skild's service providers may store or process information outside Australia.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, Skild will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place and that information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that such international transfers may occur where reasonably necessary to provide the Platform.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Accordingly, Skild cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users also play an important role in protecting their information by maintaining strong passwords and safeguarding access to their Accounts.

18. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

Skild retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Platform;
  • manage your Account;
  • fulfil contractual obligations;
  • comply with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce our legal rights;
  • maintain legitimate business records.

The retention period may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy, de-identify or anonymise that information unless we are required by law to retain it.

Certain information may remain in secure backups for a reasonable period as part of our disaster recovery and business continuity processes.

20. CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

We aim to keep personal information accurate, complete and up to date.

If you believe information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, you may:

  • update your Account information through the Platform where available; or
  • contact us requesting correction.

Where appropriate, we will correct the information within a reasonable period.

If we disagree that a correction is required, we will explain our reasons.

21. ACCOUNT DELETION

Users may request closure of their Account at any time.

Following a valid request:

  • your access to the Platform will cease;
  • active personal information will generally be removed from operational systems within a reasonable period;
  • some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes;
  • backup copies may continue to exist for a limited period before being securely overwritten.

Deletion of an Account does not automatically remove information that another User is legally entitled to retain, such as booking records, invoices or financial records.

22. DATA BREACHES

If Skild becomes aware of an eligible data breach under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we will:

  • investigate the incident promptly;
  • take reasonable steps to contain and remediate the breach;
  • assess whether notification is required;
  • notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required by law.

We maintain internal processes for identifying, assessing and responding to suspected security incidents.
